BREWERY giants have submitted plans for a £14m development in Bromsgrove which will create 180 jobs in the town.
The scheme includes a state-of-the-art leisure, health and fitness club with outdoor tennis facilities, a family pub and restaurant and 78-bed hotel.
If plans are passed the development will be built on land at Blackwood Road, aa site owned by and adjoining the Bromsgrove campus of NEW College.
If approved by Bromsgrove District Council in November, the development could be completed by March 2002.
The application also includes a new access point from the A38 into the college site to relieve congestion in Blackwood Road, as well as extra car parking.
The development has backing from Sport England because it will provide a whole range of new sporting facilities for the community.
The applicants hope this will mean students at the nearby college will be able to make use of the facilities.
