During the year 1949-1950, nurses of the Redditch District Nursing Association made 11,168 visits and attended over 450 patients, it was stated at the annual meeting held at the Nurses' Home, Worcester Road, Redditch, on Thursday.
Of the cases dealt with, 257 had been general and 191 maternity and in the latter connection, 1,687 ante-natal visits had been paid.
Alderman Charles Terry JP CBE (President), who presided, commented on the good work the association was doing under the aegis of the Worcestershire County Council, who had provided grants to maintain the work.
The balance sheet showed that grants totalling £574 had been made by the county council and after meeting expenditure, there was an overdraft of £151 17s.
