AROUND 600 people turned up for the 52nd annual Droitwich Horticultural Show, ensuring the event was a blooming success.
Green-fingered enthusiasts turned out in force to see the colourful displays at the Droitwich and District Horticultural Society event.
The show, hosted by Droitwich Sports and Leisure Centre at Briar Mill, featured more than 500 exhibits.
Steve Tullet stole the show as overall winner and did the double winning the flowers section with his prize gladioli.
But Alan Young gave him a run for his money by lifting the coveted Best in Vegetables prize and showing some impressive carrots.
Five hundred and thirty exhibitors joined in the fun.
"It was a great success," said vice chairman Ted Blakemore. "We'll be back again next year."
The event was sponsored by Droitwich Town Council, Webbs of Wychbold and a number of societies.
