ALTHOUGH a resident of Pershore for the past 14 years I still have a soft spot for Evesham after living there for 12 years.
I agree with Vernon Powell. When we arrived in Evesham 26 years ago the first thing that caught my eye was the attractive tree-lined High Street and the beautifully dressed windows of Hamilton and Bell (later Owen-Owen). It all seemed to have class.
However I do think the Market Place is much improved and I still love the walk by the Bell Tower down to the river where our children played and now the grandchildren visit. Take heart Evesham!
