AN article which appeared on the front page of the Evesham Journal recently was shown to us. We are a group of adults who have learning difficulties.
We were disgusted that you reported Mr Bruno's comments as positive. If any of us were out with a support worker and such a rude comment that ignored us was made, we would expect our support worker to say "We are not 'these kind of people' we are people who are equal and should be included in any conversation".
Mr Williams needs to remember that the people he works with have skills and qualities. It is his job (which he is paid to do) to support people to be included. If he worked with us we would complain.
Mr Bruno discriminated against the person ('client') and we feel that Mr Williams was 'showing off' by telling the paper. We don't see how Mr Bruno earned new fans, he needs educating.
