AN alcoholic who broke a three-year driving ban within two weeks has been sent to prison for five months by Kidder-minster magistrates.
It was his third offence of driving while banned and his fourth of drink-driving.
Stephen Westwood, 24, of East Street, Kidderm-inster, was disqualified on December 1 and was recognised by a policeman on the Broadwaters estate on December 12.
Westwood admitted driving while banned and without insurance and with a blood alcohol reading of 101, against the limit of 80.
The court imposed a new three-year disqualification.
His solicitor, John Rogers, said Westwood was an entrenched alcoholic but was taking steps to try to deal with his problem.
