A NIGHTCLUBBER who was punched in the face has been awarded £75 compensation by Kidderminster magistrates.
David Heeley, 22, of Doverdale Avenue, Comberton, was also fined £100, with £55 costs, when he admitted assaulting Timothy Cocks as he left Time Nightclub, Blackwell Street, Kidderminster.
Heeley believed Cocks had hit a young woman in a dispute, said prosecutor Owen Beale.
Heeley struck only one blow, his solicitor, John Rogers, told the court. Cocks was later punched by another man and that attack had been stopped by Heeley's intervention.
