SPA traders want more popular farmers' markets scheduled for the future.
Following talks with shopkeepers, Wychavon District Council's economic team is working with market organisers, Sketts, in a bid to plan more markets.
They are currently held four times a year but the council claims many high street businesses reported an increase in trade on market days and are calling for them to become a regular feature.
A member of the district council's economic development team, Jane Dobson, said: "Both customers and farmers have told us they would like to see more markets in Droitwich.
"Everyone wins with the farmers' markets.
"Customers get good quality locally-grown produce, the producers get to keep the profits and traders benefit from the town being busier."
She added: "It's even good for the environment as the goods do not need to be transported from outside the area and there is less packaging."
