CHILDREN in Droitwich who have battled against serious illness or shown outstanding bravery could be rewarded with a Child of Achievement Award.
Nominations are being taken for the 2001 awards, which are presented to 150 children, up to the age of 16.
This year's winners included Annie and Lily Hughes, from Hanbury Wharf, Droitwich Spa.
They were rewarded for their positive attitudes in coping with muscular atrophy.
The sisters attend mainstream schools and take part in outside activities.
They met former Prime Minister John Major at an awards' ceremony at London's Hilton Hotel.
To nominate a child you need to describe, in no more than 50 words, the reasons for their choice. A photograph and support literature must be sent.
Nominations should be sent to the Child of Achievement Awards, PO Box 86, Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 9JX.
