A CAR driver was flown to hospital after being cut free from his vehicle after a crash.
Robert Cooper, who suffered broken legs and arms, was trapped in his Ford Escort for 45 minutes.
Firefighters removed the roof and lifted him over the back seats.
Mr Cooper, from Cleobury Mortimer, was taken by air ambulance to Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham.
The accident happened last Wednesday at 7.25pm.
A Land Rover Discovery involved in the crash left the road and ended up in a field.
The driver, Paul Thackery, of Cleobury Mortimer, escaped injury but was treated for shock.
The accident happened on the A456 between Clows Top and Mamble near the entrance to Upper Moor End Farm at 6.40pm.
The road was closed for an hour while the rescue operation was in progress.
Leading Firefighter Tony Wilks, of Kidderminster, said: "It was a tricky operation because his feet were trapped under the pedals and driver's side door took most of the impact.
"We had to cut off the roof, free his feet and then lift him over the back seats into the air ambulance, which was waiting in a field.
"The Land Rover had gone into a field but was still on its wheels."
Kidderminster Police spokesman Neil Jarvis said officers were still investigating the incident.
