A FINE spell of hostile bowling from Andrew Van Vurron blas-ted Birlingham to a six-wicket Sunday friendly success over Broadwas.
The paceman picked up 6-20 from 13 overs and it was left to Dave Clasen with a classy unbeaten 78 to take the batting honours in a comfortable home victory - the fifth on the trot.
Ashton gained a rare double over Kays when Sunday's six-wicket win was the second time they had overcome their Worcester visitors this summer.
Four bowlers shared the wickets as Kays were shot out for 86. Matt Cope took 3-4, Richard Wood 4-31, Ali Keen collected 2-26 and David Turner 1-24 in an excellent team effort.
