FRINGE for a fiver may sound like a haircut, but it's actually the title of the RSC's September spectacular.
More than 40 actors, stage managers, musicians and directors from the RSC Summer 2000 Festival Season will offer an eclectic mix of entertainment, including comedy, devised work, concerts and new writing.
The five pound features include a variety of plays and one man shows. The plays include Dancing In The Dark, Through The Leaves and Purgatory. While the one man shows include a performance from Julian Curry on the history of wine.
There will also be a special performance of Hamlet, starring Adrian Schiller as the procrastinating Prince of Denmark.
This is the first time the Fringe has undertaken such a large project and the thrill of seeing this production will be in its rawness, as they only have two weeks to rehearse.
The plays and shows will run from September 11 to 24. Most of them at The Other Place. Tickets for Hamlet cost £10.
