The last night of the Proms
A fun-filled evening packed with Proms classics is promised at the Last Night of the Ragley Proms concert at Ragley Hall, Alcester, tomorrow (Friday). Nicholas Smith will conduct the Performing Arts Symphony Orchestra through some timeless classics and mezzo soprano Yvonne Howard will lead the traditional singing and flag waving during the second half, with fireworks.
Joining the select few
TEN of the 50 artists chosen for a top drawing exhibition are from Gloucestershire. The Open Drawing Exhibition: Cheltenham 2000 will be held at the East Wing Studios, School of Fine Art, Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education, Albert Road, Cheltenham, from next Monday until September 21 with a private view and awards presentation on Saturday.
