CALLING ALL DRIVERS: The Lions Club of Chipping Norton are running a Safe and Skilled Driving Competition in the New Street car park from 10am on Sunday. There will be a test of your driving skills (parking, manoeuvring and others) and a Highway Code test. There will also be members of the Institute of Advanced Motoring on hand to take you on a driving assessment and give you a few tips on how to improve your driving technique. Entry fee is £5 and there are prizes for the best large car driver and the best small car driver. There will also be a prize for the best score in the Highway Code test. As a bit of fun there will also be a pit stop competition. How long will it take your team to change two wheels on a car? There will be a prize for the fastest team. If you would like to take part in either competition, you can book a time slot in advance or turn up on the day and you will be fitted in.
