WHIST DRIVE: Fifteen tables were in play at the weekly whist drive, held at the village hall on Thursday evening, August 24. The event was organised by Miss F Ricketts and Mrs B Hodges, to raise funds for the County Air Ambulance Service. Mr John Chester was MC, Mr C Bromfield, drawmaster. A donation of home-made cakes for refreshments was appreciated by all players.
