THERE was a distinct sporting flavour when national upholstery store ScS opened its doors for the first time on Kiddermin-ster's Crossley Retail Park on Thursday.
Kidderminster Harriers manager Jan Molby performed the opening of the £500,000 superstore which has created 12 new jobs.
And Stourport's Daryl Philpotts was one of the winners of a special competition which earned him a VIP package for last Saturday's Harriers home game with Halifax Town.
He and three friends enjoyed a pre-match three-course meal and then chose the man-of-the-match and presented the player with his award.
