RESIDENTS braved the rain and the wind to be among the first to enjoy Stratford's newest nature reserve, Clopton Park, at a special open day on Saturday.
It was the first major event to be held since Stratford District Council decided to try to get nature reserve status for the rolling parkland, part of the Welcombe Hills, in June.
Visitors of all ages enjoyed guided walks and talks to discover more about the history of the ancient land, which was once part of the grounds of Clopton House, as well as the many species of wildlife at home there.
