IT'S the big end-of-season meeting at Prescott speed hill climb this weekend and there is plenty of action promised with top billing for the Auto Windscreens British Hill Climb championship.
This is the last but one meeting in this year's series, and there is a battle royal raging between the sport's top three drivers - title holder David Grace (Brackley) and former champions Roy Lane (Warwick) and Roger Moran (Ludlow).
Any one of the three could take the title and with two points scoring chances in Prescott's Top Twelve run-offs, all three know that it's wins that count in the final reckoning.
The meeting also features rounds of the Clark's Motor Group Midland championship and the Avon/BMTR Top Ten Challenge and both are always close fought, as is Prescott's own Gold Cup which will be decided on the day.
There's a strong local challenge too in the 20 strong 600cc racing car class where Tewkesbury's Tony Hunt and Tony Shearman, plus John Watts (Gloucester) and Ross Lammas (Hartpury) will all be going for top honours.
With all eyes on the British title, the top three know there's a chance that the crown can be won at Prescott.
Practice starts at 10am on Saturday with the competitive runs at 10am the next morning. Adult admission is £5 on saturday and £7 on Sunday. Children under 14 are admitted free.
