BRETFORTON Ladies enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend touring at the 23rd staging of the Salisbury and South Wilts Millennium Festival.
Playing seven games in all, the local team New Sarum Ladies were the first opposition on the astro.
This was a fast game with lots of chances that Bretforton were unable to convert and ended as a 0-0 draw.
An unscheduled match against a mixed team called the DOA's saw Sara Copley and Sue Barker score good goals to win 2-0.
A ladies match against the Drunken Tarts from Watford saw another 2-0 win with goals from Jane Wheeler and Wendy Wealsby.
The final game of the day saw a 0-0 draw against a mixed team called the Gladiators.
Sunday morning, weary after the Toga party, the Gladiators ladies team were the first on the astro. They took the lead but Sarah Hall scored to earn a 1-1 draw.
Another unscheduled match against a men's team called the Blue Hearts who were very sporting and gentle and let 13 play, saw goals from Sophie Corbett and a flick from Gillie Wright.
The final game was a tough match against Burnham Ladies. After a disallowed goal by them at a short corner, Julie Stowe scored to win 1-0 and complete a very enjoyable and successful weekend touring unbeaten.
It's the Blockley tournament on Sunday.
