CARERS in Malvern are being urged to support a campaign on funding for social services.
Worcestershire Campaign Action Group has called a public meeting at County Hall on Thursday (September 7) from 11am, to discuss social services' financial position.
The group says it fears the £1 million taken from the council's financial reserves to prop up this year's budget will have to be paid back in future years. It says the move would "delay the serious impact on vulnerable people".
Howerd Brooksbank, chairman of Worcestershire Association Carers, said: "I'm very worried about what effect further cuts in services will have on carers already under great pressure."
Places at the meeting can be reserved by calling 01905 26500.
