THE Flower Ring florist's shop in Old Street, Upton, picked up first prize in the town's water festival window competition over the weekend.
Their display was in the shape of a miniature illuminated boat, intended to echo the boats on the river during the three-day event.
The boat was artfully made using items from the shop's workroom, decorated with flags and little lights and filled with plants and flowers, representing the people on board.
The boat was named The Two Buoys, a reference to the twin grandsons of shop owners Sylvia and Peter Dawson, who were born just a week before the festival.
The shop window display was just one element of the water festival, which dominated the town over the bank holiday weekend.
