RAILTRACK have issued a warning after two boys were seen walking along the railway line near Great Malvern station on Tuesday evening.
Malvern police were alerted and they in turn contacted the British Transport Police, who could find no trace of the youngsters.
Peter Maynard, a spokesman for Railtrack, said the police should always be informed if people are seen on the railway line.
"It's a very dangerous thing to do and we're always grateful to people for informing us if they see someone on a track," he said.
"At this time of year we do have a problem with children being away from school and we find that children aged between 14 and 15 are most at risk.
"It's part of an ongoing Railtrack campaign to alert children to the dangers of going near railways.
"A couple of weeks ago an eight-year-old was helped on to a line to retrieve a football and was electrocuted so we always tell children never to go near railways, however safe it may seem."
