A MALVERN woman accused of threatening to "wallop" a Worcester school pupil has been acquitted.
Karen Mapp, of Michael Crescent, denied causing alarm, harassment and distress following a confrontation outside the teenager's school.
A 16-year-old from Dines Green, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said Mapp had hurled abuse at her on Monday, January 10.
She told Worcester magistrates that Mapp had threatened to "slap her over the fence" and had flailed her arms in the air in a threatening manner.
Joe Kieran, defending, said the 39-year-old, who had no previous convictions, had been angered by the girl's bullying of her daughter.
Mr Kieran said Mapp repeated her claims about the girl bullying her daughter to police but denied making threats or using a lot of swear words.
"I did make slicing movements with my hands as I often talk with my hands to emphasise what I'm saying," said Mapp.
