JEWELLERY has been stolen from a home in Church Road, Droitwich, while the householder was outside gardening.
A tan wallet and a brown leather purse, containing bank cards and a cheque book, were also taken, from a handbag left in the lounge.
Several other items were taken from a locked draw in the bedroom, which contained a red leather jewellery box. A silver chain necklace with a bar, valued at £60 was taken, as well as a toiletry bag containing £400 of jewellery.
Also stolen was a black and gold ladies wristwatch, valued at £50; a silver Excaliber bracelet watch, valued at £200; a silver solitaire ring, valued at £50, three 18 carat gold wedding rings at £100 each, a blue stoned ring valued at £85, and two diamond engagement rings, worth £1,000 each.
"This shows just how easy it is for a sneak in thief to get into your house, no matter how far you are from the door," said Droitwich beat manager PC Alun Jones.
