LETHAL prescription drugs have been stolen from outside a Malvern pharmacy.
Police say the heart and blood pressure tablets taken from the back of Lloyds Chemist in Barnards Green Road could kill.
Worcester PC Tony Charity said a delivery driver picked up several cases of legal drugs at around 4pm last Friday, September 1, to deliver to elderly people around the Malvern area.
Ten minutes later, the driver realised he had left one case behind and turned back to collect it.
But when he arrived at the drugstore, the case had vanished.
A Nomad carrying case valued at £75, 16 Nomad metered dose boxes with an estimated value of £320, Dogoxin - heart tablets that slow the heart rate down - and blood pressure tablets were all in the stolen case.
"The medicines were prescriptions for specific conditions," PC Charity said.
"Taken inadvertently or in the wrong hands, the effects of some of the medicines may be serious or possibly fatal.
"I would urge anyone who finds any medication to hand it to their nearest police station."
Anyone with information on the theft is urged to contact Worcester police on 01905 723888 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.
