Ringspanners (2) 6
Bromsgrove Town (5) 11
A FIVE-GOAL haul from James McLeod was the highlight of a spectacular goal-scoring jamboree in the Bromsgrove Advertiser/Messenger District League Division Two.
He opened the scoring after seven minutes from a Steve Hinton cross, soon to be followed by Darren Turk scrambling the ball home for number two.
Five minutes later, Stuart Eades's 50-yard pass found McLeod who bent a 20-yarder past Dean Waldron.
Ringspanners came back with a vengeance and two defensive lapses reduced the deficit, before Town applied further pressure just before the break with Turk getting his second and McLeod completing his hat-trick.
McLeod hit number six but plucky Ringspanners came back with Tommy Thompson weaving his magic to bag his hat-trick.
Hinton's glancing header from a Duncan McLeod corner put Town in seventh heaven and Carl Gray produced number eight.
A towering Scott Gaffney header, again from a Duncan McLeod corner, made it nine before further goals from McLeod and Hinton completed the rout.
