BROMSGROVE Cricket Club's Third XI struggled to compete against a team committed to avoiding relegation on Saturday.
Winning the toss, Town elected to field first on a drying wicket but the visitors enjoyed a run feast as they chalked up 202 from just 37 overs.
Youngster Luke Harris made his bowling debut for the Thirds and capped a good spell with the wicket of Yates.
Bromsgrove made a bold start in their 43-over reply with Dan Nash and Dave Gower maintaining the required run-rate before Nash departed for 28.
Paul Husbands tried to keep up with the eight an over run rate but he fell for 43.
Geoff Hook was then the mainstay of the Bromsgrove rearguard to force a draw.
With the season now over, the West Midlands Third XI Championship winners can look forward to playing in the Premiership next year but will have a tough battle if they are to be successful.
