JEWELLERY has snatched from a home in Droitwich Spa while the householder was outside gardening.
A tan wallet and brown leather purse containing bank cards and a cheque book, were also taken from a handbag in the lounge.
Other items, in a locked draw in the bedroom, which contained a red leather jewellery box, were also stolen.
A £60 sliver chain necklace was taken, along with a toiletry bag containing £400 worth of jewellery.
Also stolen was a black and gold lady's wristwatch worth £50, a £200 silver Excaliber bracelet, a silver solitaire ring valued at £50, three 18 carat gold wedding rings at £100 each, a blue stoned ring worth £85, and two diamond engagement rings worth £1,000 each.
"This shows just how easy it is for a sneak thief to get into your house," said Droitwich Spa beat manager PC Alun Jones.
Anyone with information should contact Worcester police (01905) 723888.
