WITH a number of regular players on holiday Camp-den Young Cricketers used the opportunity to blood several under 10 age group boys all of whom excelled themselves.
Dumbleton made a steady start until Campden made a breakthrough with a six wicket haul through Tom Payne (3-8), Bill Johnson (2-2) and Rob Payne (1-7).
The home side then bounced back with H Hill and J White adding 21 runs, followed by M Baldwin and M Tingle with a further 16 runs to give Dumbleton a respectable total of 243-8.
Campden made a positive reply with skipper Alex Green and Bill Johnson combing to score 26 off four overs.
Following their departure Campden were pegged back for a time, but Rob Payne (15) supported by brother Tom swung the game with a 22-run partnership to give Campden a 23-run victory in their last match of the season.
