AN angry Rubery man says he could be forced to leave his village home because he is fed up with it being constantly flooded.
John Barson, of Callowbrook Lane, said despite top level talks in July nothing had been done to alleviate the problem.
He says he now just wants the matter sorted out so he can put his home up for sale and get away from the nightmare. His home has been waterlogged three times in about 18 months.
He said: "Since the last flood in the summer my 89-year-old mother-in-law has been forced to move out of the granny flat attached to the house and into a nursing home because the accommodation has been ruined four times by floods.
"I just want to try and sell the property and see if I can get out."
During the last flood in July more than a foot of water came into the flat, ruining everything, and the water was up to the skirting board in his house.
John added: "I am currently clearing the flat and taking all the paper off the wall.
"I am then sealing it up and not touching it until something has been done about the flooding."
Plans were being drawn up to improve Callowbrook drainage system to stop the flooding at a meeting earlier in the summer.
Bromsgrove District Council officers and councillors met representatives from the Environment Agency, Highways Agency, Severn Trent and Worcestershire County Council.
During the meeting the county council pledged to spend £30,000 on civil engineering work to improve the watercourse of the brook, and the Highways Agency promised to look at ways of upgrading drainage on the A38.
But John said: "Nothing has been done.
"It's been weeks since this meeting and none of the residents have received a phone call or letter to let them know what's going on."
Highways Partnership manager Jon Fraser said a consultant had been appointed to make sure the work would make a difference.
He added: "As soon as we get this confirmation something will be done."
