BUDDING squash players are being given the chance to try their luck on the refurbished courts at Pershore and District Sports Club.
Thanks to a grant of £1,250 from Wychavon District Council, the facilities now boast a shiny and new appearance and club officials are to hoping they will give membership a boost.
"We were absolutely delighted that Wychavon decided to help us out financially," said secretary Sue Rawles. "The courts were originally built in 1978 but we have now replaced the lighting, sanded the floors and painted the walls and they look just like new."
Introductory sessions have been arranged for this Saturday between 4.30 and 6.30pm and next Monday and Wednesday nights for two hours from 6pm.
Contact Sue on 01905 820165 or Mrs Abbott on 01905 840570 for more details on the sessions or about becoming a member.
