BEWDLEY Cricket Club visited Feckenham in a Worcestershire County League Division Two match where their hosts beat them by four wickets.
Bewdley batted first in a match which was reduced to 47 overs a side.
Captain Mark Bennett, having returned from injury, gave the visitors a bright start as he dominated a half-century opening partnership with David Jones.
Bennett's dismissal for 43 out of 51 was followed by the introduction of Selwood's spin, which saw the innings slump.
Simon Smith tried to hold the innings together but when he was sixth out at 89 no-one else reached double figures as they were all out for 118.
John Peer took a wicket in the first over of Feckenham's reply, but the home team progressed steadily to 59-3 when Cockerell and K Bayliss built a 50 partnership.
Scott Fowler brought Bewdley back into the game with some quick wickets but in the end Feckenham reached 119-6.
Bewdley 2nd v Feckenham 2nd - Feckenham won by 115 runs
A poor Bewdley performance saw them crash to defeat, taking just two points to Feckenham's 24.
Feckenham started this Worcester-shire County League second team Division Two fixture brightly, and the loss of two wickets at 40 did not deter them.
C Perry and Powell punished weak bowling and even weaker fielding, in a 124-run stand.
Tim Marshall dismissed them both in the same over before Baylis and A Perry featured in another good stand.
Captain Pete Mauger started Bewdley's reply well and was followed by a solid knock from Andy Robinson.
But when Robinson was caught with the score on 75-3, only an aggressive assault from Andy Hartley troubled the Feckenham bowlers, and they romped home with 13 overs to spare.
Fixtures: Saturday, 1st home v Lye (12.30pm); Sunday, 1st home v Malvern Ramblers (2pm), 2nd away v Malvern Ramblers 2nd (2pm).
l Chaddesley Corbett still need a victory to avoid relegation to Division Two after being beaten by visiting Netherton on Saturday.
Captain Kevin Truswell won the toss and sent Netherton and they made 202-5 to ask a lot of Chaddesley's fragile batting.
Solid contributions from George Baylis and Truswell saw Chaddesley reach 60-3 and when Simon Perkins was supported by his brother Matt, the game could have gone either way.
But the villagers were all out for 171 with three overs left.
Chaddesley v Himley - Himley won by 105 runs.
Despite good bowling from Grant Bishop and Sam Boden, Himley hit 245-8 in this friendly.
Himley's spinners removed Chaddesley's top six bats in just 15 overs and only Sam Boden was able to put up much resistance, scoring a career best of 85, which included 14 fours and a six.
Himley 245-8 (J Lanchbury 82, Ben Shorter 62), Chaddesley 140 (Sam Boden 85, Shahid Khan 3-13, Nick Bust 3-29).
l Stone had to settle for a losing draw in their Worcestershire County League Division Four game at Cutnall Green.
The visitors soon had last year's champions in trouble on a damp wicket, reducing them to 15-2 after Peter Durnell bowled Neil Fletcher. Then they slumped to 62-5.
Rob Smith sparked another collapse with 3-19, after a 39-run partnership, but Green fought back with a ninth wicket stand of 41.
Nick Powell took the last two wickets to finish with figures of 5-42.
Stone's opening batsmen Gareth Bryant and Dean Aldridge had some luck as they battled against seamers Matthew Harris and Neil Evans, but Gary Bourke's men sank from 50 without loss to 65-6.
Smith scored a lively 33, putting on 48 with Durnell. But it was too little too late and Stone finished on 127-7.
