REDDITCH certainly won't be lacking for entertainment when Mardi Gras carnival day finally arrives on Saturday, September 16.
The procession starts and finishes at the HDA club in Batchley and will consist of the Miss Redditch and Junior Miss Redditch float, stilt walkers, Professor Pepperpot and a 12ft inflatable clown,.
There will also be the Red Cross, police and fire representatives, the Science Fiction Society and numerous floats, bands and individual walkers.
Musical and marching skills will be on show throughout the day and will include the Irish Pipe and Drum Marching Band, the Silver Shadow Majorettes, a steel band, the Derby Midshipmen Marching Band and a line dancing display.
Field events will include Punch and Judy, a circus skills workshop, Reptile Fantasia, a huge variety of stalls, a bouncy castle and other inflatables, the Viking Society, a fortune teller, food galore, Tom Wilson's children's fair rides and the HDA club bar will be open until 5pm.
