STUDLEY will be put firmly on the map when a new website is launched later this week detailing everything going on in the village.
The site is being set up by Henley based Redenet in conjunction with Studley Business Watch and will include links to Studley firms as well as up-to-date information about the village.
Business Watch chairman Gordon Wilkes said he hopes to involve the parish council, village pubs and churches as well as including details of the village's fight for a by-pass.
Information about village services such as babysitters or decorators will also be posted up.
Mr Wilkes said: "The website will cover all the cultural activities and public services in Studley as well as providing links to members of business watch which is obviously good from a commercial point of view.
"We may also put some of Studley's history on the site."
Mr Wilkes added: "I think it will provide a greater acknowledgement of our existence here in Studley.
"My big concern is that we are on the periphery of the county and just feel like we get ignored a lot.
"The internet is something that's really coming on and it will put Studley on the map."
Redenet operational director Paul Knowles said: "This will be like Studley's own magazine and include information for outsiders and villagers alike.
"We want to keep it as up-to-date as possible and would like to hear from people who wish to place something on the site, for example people's views on the by-pass.
"Hopefully it will give people the opportunity to become a little more community spirited."
The site can be found at www.studley-warks.co.uk.
l Studley Business Watch's AGM will be held on Wednesday, September 13. The meeting is open to all members and starts at 8pm at the Studley Sports and Social Club in Eldorado Close.
Meanwhile a public presentation by transport engineers Halcrow Fox on options for a by-pass has been postponed for a month.
The company will reveal its findings on the possibilities of improving traffic flow along the A435 on October 19, 20 and 21 October at the village hall.
