BRINTONS won their first Banks's Brewery Football League Division One South home match on Saturday when they beat Sedgley White Lions 1-0.
Although Sedgley had lost their first two games of the season, they had the better of the first half exchanges.
In the second half Brintons made a tactical change, reverting to three players in the centre of midfield and went on to dominate the game.
Their efforts were rewarded when Duncan Flowers headed home the winning goal from a corner mid-way through the half.
l Bewdley Town started their Division One South campaign with an impressive 3-0 home victory over Ledbury.
Steve Merse scored the only first-half goal, after good work by Burfield, and Allsopp and Gibbs added two in the second half.
l Missed chances proved costly as Chaddesley Corbett crashed to a 2-0 defeat at Division One South leaders Bustlehome.
Chaddesley had the edge in the opening exchanges, but failed to capitalise on their good approach play.
In a one-sided first half, Chaddesley's goalkeeper Gareth Yarsley, making his debut for the side, was rarely troubled, while his opposite number Brendan Appleyard was called into action on several occasions.
Ashley Phillips had a tremendous effort cleared off the line, then the youngster produced a save of high quality from Appleyard after he unleashed a fierce 20-yard volley.
An Adrian Billings corner caused panic in the Bustlehome defence before being scrambled away by man-of-the-match Wayne Richardson.,
Chris Bow and Dean Howard were unlucky not to score, and Stuart Jordan's movement of the ball was creating problems for the Bustlehome back four.
There was a fine run and cross from Howard but no Chaddesley player made contact and another chance went begging.
In a rare attack, Bustlehome showed the visitors how to finish when Nathan Glanville hit the Chaddesley bar and Jermaine Smith followed up to rifle home.
After good play by Chaddesley, Richard Burton's run set up Bow but the unlucky striker saw his effort hit the crossbar.
Bustlehome scored their second when Lathvinder Sundu shot home from close range to maintain the league leaders' 100 per cent start to the season.
Chaddesley travel to Pershore Town for a league fixture on Saturday. Players should meet outside the Viaduct at 1pm.
The previous week Chaddesley were without a league fixture so they arranged a friendly away fixture against Ludlow Town Reserves and won 4-0.
Stuart Jordan (2), Sam Pountney and Dixon were their marksmen.
