WYRE Forest defeated Midland Combination Division Two bottom side Kenilworth Wardens 7-2 on Saturday in their first home match of the campaign.
A first half hat-trick by Andy Oakes plus a fine individual goal by Darren Raybould gave Forest a 4-0 half-time lead.
In his first full game for the club, Stephen Meredith scored twice after the break with Mark Allen completing the scoring.
Kenilworth scored two consolation goals through Mark Holliday and Richard Osborne.
Owen, in the Kenilworth goal, made several good saves and was mainly responsible for keeping the scoreline below double figures.
Forest will be at home on Saturday to Rugby Town, kick-off 2.45pm. Players should meet at the ground at 1.15pm.
