EVESHAM United Football Club is making one last attempt to find a new home on land near Cheltenham Road.
The club, who had a planning application rejected in March, is submitting scaled down plans, encouraged by a report from Wychavon's head of planning Jack Hegarty urging councillors to look again at the site.
When rejected earlier this year the scheme to transform the 22-acre agricultural site to a sports field with leisure facilities was deemed to be detrimental to the area.
Jim Powell, consultant for the Common Road-based club, said the United members wanted action to be taken as soon as possible.
"After 10 years trying to find a new site the club is desperate," he said. "Our clubhouse is falling down, the stands are 50 years old and need replacing and there's no room to expand."
The community element is now being dropped and plans mean just a straight club move.
Leader of the council Malcolm Meikle said: "Ultimately it will be for the planning committee to decide any future application that might come forward."
