FECKENHAM were put into bat on a wicket affected by overnight rain.
The early batsmen found the uneven bounce a problem as seamer Harris picked up 5-60 from 19 overs. Mark Lathwood batted very responsibly for 54 and some hard hitting by Shah with 26 and Steve Haines, 16, helped to boost the score to 173-9 in 45 overs.
Worcester soon lost skipper Rice, bowled by Haines, but some boundaries through Feckenham's infield kept their reply on course. Skipper Terry Bird's spinners then slowed the run rate and he dismissed opener Tarver who batted well to reach 31. With all of Worcester's middle order picking up runs the result could have gone either way. Feckenham's seamers Lathwood and Shah each took three wickets but Worcester held out with 9 wickets down and their score at 165.
