GARDEN CLUB SHOW: The annual show will take place on Saturday on the village green and, at about 4.15pm the draw will take place for a unique watercolour of Broadway Village Green.
Donated by Patrick Thwaits, the artist is Frank Shipsides, a well-known Bristol marine artist.
Aged 92, he is a co-publisher of books on Bristol and its shipping industry. He is also the recipient of an honorary MA degree from Bristol University.
To have a chance to win this picture, all that is necessary is to purchase a draw ticket for £1 at the show.
CONSERVATIVES SUMMER SUPPER: Towards the end of last month the Broadway branch of the Mid Worcestershire Conservative Association enjoyed the hospitality of Mr and Mrs John Noote.
Addressing the crowded gathering, county councillor Tricia Birchley, who is the deputy spokesman on environment matters, delivered an upbeat message, "All our sights are set in winning four seats at the next county elections in May," she declared.
Further events to be organised for the branch include a skittles evening and a coffee morning.
