A PACKAGE of measures to help 120 carpet workers facing redundancy has been announced.
They include employment service advisers visiting the workers at Carpets of Worth on a weekly basis until their redundancies take effect on November 3.
There will also be information sessions for workers to explore job and training prospects. The sessions will give help on benefits and pensions.
The meeting, called by Wyre Forest MP David Lock, involved Employment Service, Chamber of Commerce and trade union representatives.
The steering group will meet again in mid-October to check everything possible is being done for the workers.
