IT WAS hats in the air at Elmley Castle to celebrate another grant to help pay for the new Village Community Hall.
The £35,000 award to the Bricklehampton, Elmley Castle and Netherton Village Hall Committee Village Hall Committee came from the Mercia Environmental Fund.
The Fund has been established using contributions from Severn Waste Services under the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme. It is managed by "Welcome To Our Future," the community-owned charitable company set up under the umbrella of Local Agenda 21.
Community Hall chairman Anna Mackison said: "The whole community is very grateful. This is the final brick in the funding wall to complete this wonderful building."
