PUPILS and staff at a Stourport school are starting the new term on a high note after its Key Stage 2 youngsters achieved excellent SATS results.
Passes at Windmill Middle School were up by five per cent to 72 per cent in English, 16 per cent to 61 per cent in mathematics and most significantly by 35 per cent to 81 per cent in science.
Headteacher Linda Warren said: "We are delighted with our results.
"The staff and pupils worked very hard to achieve this and we hope to do even better this year."
The new school year will also see the amount of pupils in year five increasing by 55 per cent after newly qualified teacher Kevin Porter was appointed to take an extra class.
