Studley BKL 1, Cheslyn May 0
A stunning Andrew Grubb strike proved enough to maintain BKL's unbeaten start to the season.
Bees' Brian Powell flashed one angled drive just wide within the opening minute. Cheslyn's relief was short however, as Davis, Powell and Crane, all combined in the move which allowed Grubb to unleash an 18 yard volley which flew past Cheslyn's keeper, Tonks, on 7 minutes.
Several easier opportunities presented themselves throughout the opening half, as the ball whistled round the Cheslyn's 6 yard box, but that elusive touch deserted the Bees.
Only on one occasion did the visitors threaten, Roberts firing wide when well placed just before the break.
BKL produced the usual home bombardment from the restart, but despite the wave of attacks, with both Neath and Powell hitting the woodwork, Bee's keeper, Print, was called upon to produce fine saves from Marriott and Ward, as Cheslyn went searching for the equaliser. Redhead also cleared off the line before BKL regained the initiative to finish the stronger of the two sides.
