TOMORROW (Saturday) a Scouts & Cubs Sports Fun Day is being held on Powick Playing Field from 2pm. Entry fee for each event is 50p (or £1 for three events). There will also be a barbecue.
Also look out for cycle riders tomorrow as the Historic Churches Bike Ride takes to the road to raise money in sponsorship to maintain the fabric of our historic churches in Worcester-shire. St Peter's Church will be open as a checking-in point and to offer refreshment. The Nichol family - Rev David, wife Lynn and children Thomas and Catherine - will be riding and visiting many churches in the area. They would welcome your sponsorship.
Powick & Callow End Mother & Toddler Group meet at Powick Parish Hall on Wednesday mornings from 9.30-11.30am. All parents and carers of the under threes are welcome. Powick Parish Council invites all residents of Powick and Callow End to a public meeting at Callow End Village Hall on Wednesday, September 20 at 7.30pm. Residents will have the opportunity to meet the Parish Councillors and to discuss any issues. Representatives from Malvern Hills District Council and Worcester-shire County Council will also be present. A number of active community groups and societies that operate in Powick and Callow End will be represented. Refreshments will be served during the meeting.
