I WAS angered to read (Malvern Gazette, August 25) that the Liberal Democrat leader of the district council was claiming credit for persuading the Conservative Group to open up Executive Committee meetings to the public.
It was a Liberal Democrat-controlled Council that introduced private meetings on the Executive Committee, but it will be a Conservative-controlled Council that will end that.
I am pleased that we all now appear to be in agreement that council decision-making committee meetings will be in public.
