WINCHCOMBE Town Council is seeking more than £50,000 from Tewkesbury Borough Council to support community projects.
Councillors at last Wednesday's meeting, were asked to suggest the schemes and projects they would like the borough council to include in its 2001/2002 budget.
The meeting decided to request £50,000 towards the refurbishment of the town's community centre and £2,500 towards the cost of drawing up a village design statement, to help with planning issues.
Councillors also agreed to two requests for donations, giving £50 each to Cheltenham area Citizens' Advice Bureau and Cheltenham area Cruse Bereavement Care.
