DRUGS that could prove fatal in the wrong hands have been stolen from Lloyds Chemist in Barnards Green Road.
Cases of drugs were being picked up from the rear of the shop and delivered to elderly, when the driver accidentely left one behind. He returned to collect it on Friday afternoon but it had gone.
It is described as a grey Nomad carrying case containing 16 dose boxes of medicine worth £320. They included Digoxin tablets that slow the heart rate and blood pressure tablets that could cause serious harm to vulnerable people.
PC Tony Charity said the drugs were prescriptions for specific conditions.
"Taken inadvertently or in the wrong hands the effects may be serious or possibly fatal," he said.
