A NEW volunteer co-ordinator has been appointed at the Malvern Hills Homeless Young Adults Trust (MHHYAT).
Sally Helder will be developing and expanding the network of volunteers to support residents aged 16 to 25 at the MHHYAT Foyer, in Spring Lane.
With a background in psychology, Mrs Helder has spent the last five years teaching in further education in the West Midlands.
She is looking for volunteers of various ages to support the MHHYAT project in a range of ways such as gardening, painting, driving, fundraising and befriending the young adults.
Volunteers are paid out-of-pocket expenses and there will be regular social events and get-togethers.
If you are interested, call Mrs Helder on 01684 568777 or go to the coffee morning on Tuesday, September 26, from 10am-2pm.
This will include a short tour of the Foyer and Mary Blackshaw, one of the trustees, will give a brief history the project and an update on current issues.
