THE Wyvern Cat Club All-Breed Championship Show tomorrow (Saturday) will be the last as show manager for Anna Bailey.
The club was founded in 1984 to cater for cat lovers in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and north Gloucestershire and Ms Bailey, from Hanley Swan, has been involved since the beginning.
She said it was time for others to take up the reins, after 16 years as manager for the club's various shows.
Tomorrow's event is at Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Worcester, and entries are again at record levels. A total of 560 entries have been received in classes including Siamese, Persians, Manx, Maine Coons and Bombays, as well as a non-pedigree section.
Mrs Bailey said one reason the event is so popular is that it is the last qualifying show for the Supreme Show, the feline equivalent of Cruft's, at the NEC in Birmingham, in November.
Entries have come from Malvern, Upton and Welland, as well as from a wider area, including Southern Ireland.
The show is open to the public from 12.30pm to 5pm and admission is £1.50 (£1 concs).
