HEREFORD United Director of Football Graham Turner is confident his side can defend their two proud records tomorrow.
The Bulls have yet to lose or concede a goal in six games as they have climbed to third place in the Nationwide Conference.
Hednesford Town are the latest side to test those sequences at Edgar Street tomorrow (3pm), but Turner's confidence was boosted by a fine 2-0 win over Telford United in midweek.
He said: "We played ever so well against Telford, and obviously we want to keep that quality of performance going.
"There is a good feeling about the team at the moment. They are working hard for each other, and the feeling is bring on the next opponents and quickly."
Midfielder Michael McIndoe (ankle) and defender Matt Clarke (knee) have both been forced to miss training this week but are both expected to be fit.
Midfielder John Shirley has resumed training and defender Paul Sturgess is expected to do so later this week, but striker Steve Piearce suffered another setback after having to drop out of a planned reserve outing.
United have no other injury worries from the Telford game.
Turner added: "A lot of it is purely down to hard work. We are holding the ball up quite well up front and the opposition are not able to get to our back lads too often and we are defending very well as a team."
Although the Bulls could go top tomorrow if they win and other results go their way, Turner is not getting carried away by their fine start.
"It is a long, hard season and experience last season will tell you there were a number of different leaders early on.
"But it is nice to have got off to a good start. We worked hard during the close-season with that in mind, and 14 points from six games is a good return."
Meanwhile, United have been named Non-League FA Cup Team of the Year by sponsors AXA -- their reward for running Premier-ship Leicester City close in the third round last season.
Turner added: "It is nice to be recognised nationally and that recognition is no more than the players deserve."
